The first two questions were about age and gender. We are targeting for the age range between 16-24 years of age. There's no particular gender type that wanted thrillers more than the other. When people were asked how how often they watch films it was shocking to see that most of them watched a movie once every two weeks or less.
This is an important question for the group to know because it helps us base our opening sequence on what the target audience likes instead of doing something that they will not like resulting in an unsuccessful opening sequence.
When we asked them why it was important to them they told me that it is because its helps tell you what the movie is about as well as introduced a good amount of characters.
This shows that the genre we have chosen is popular for the age group we have aimed at which is good because this means that our opening sequence would appeal to the right audience.
As seen above the audience was close with this voting because all of these conventions make a very good opening thriller sequence.
These questions gave the target audience a chance to be picky because they should be able to relate with the main character or have a link with him in anyway in order for the film to work. Due to these results that is how we chose our main character.
Most of the votes went for a isolated place and when i asked them why they said it was because it adds more mystery and helps build up the movie more.
