Location research

Thriller 
For a thriller I found an old abandoned Mill factory,an alley way with a lake next to it and another lake. All of these places are in beddington.

I think these places would suit this genre because they are mostly isolated giving the audience a feel of how the character might feel if the character was alone there. Also because the stereotypical feel of an abandoned place is weary and sinister because it makes people question why it was left alone in the first place-this is referring to the Wandle Mill. The use of an alley gives away a sense of unease to the audience because alley ways are known for crime happening there because it is out of sight and people are generally scared of alleys. Setting a thriller near the water is juxtaposition  because water is the source of life and we need it to stay alive where as it is also very dangerous because in winter it can get very cold and kill somebody or its too deep and drown somebody or due do strong current it can carry somebody away. As well as in movies when people want to commit suicide they tend to jump of a bridge into the water

Romantic Comedy. 

For these locations one of them is located in Croydon, one is batter sea park and another in beddington park. 

I chose these locations simply because the typical thing to do when you are with someone on a date is to go eat at a romantic place because you might want to show yourself off and you don't want to take them anywhere too fancy so this waffle place would do, also because it is designed well with the colors and the disco ball plus it also sets a good atmosphere. Batter Sea park is a good place to go because it has a feel of fun and romance because of the rides but also because of the way you can have picnics there in summer. I chose another park because nature is usually tied in with the feeling of romance because it is typically known to be peaceful and people are known to be at ''one with nature'' also because couples like to take '' walks in the park''.

Action Adventure

The places found are stratford station, a London bus and the wandle mill. 

I chose to use modes of transport because they are fast and add feel to the movie because it involves the public therefore making the audience worry and more engaged in what is going on because innocent peoples lives are being affected. It could also be used as an adventure when people don't know where they are going so they discover a whole new place at the plot starts to get into the dis-equilibrium of things. I chose the mill because it is a big place and when most action films go on they happen in big places with to hide and that gets the audience on the edge if their seats.
